unmodified and modified display

I am changing from word perfect 12 to office 2003 and we would like to be
able to show whether or not a document remains unmodified or has been
modified in the title bar like it does in word perfect.
 
That's a frequent request and a reasonable one. I too would like to see
this. FrontPage adds an asterisk to the filename of unsaved pages, and
another application I used rather alarmingly dimmed the Save button when the
document was unmodified. I'd love to see some kind of indication of saved
state. FWIW, Word won't actually save the document if it *is* unmodified;
that is, you can click Save or press Ctrl+S, but nothing actually happens.
