Unknown user name problem

I am using XP Pro SP2 w/all patches and updates on a Dell laptop.

I somehow have acquired an anonymous user name in my Documents and Settings
folder. The name "Be" has a full complement of user folders. I just found
out that the folders actually belong to user Cecil Britton Adm, a backup
administrative account name. I have looked in My
Computer/Properties/Advanced/User Profiles, Control Panel/User Accounts and
Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Mgmt./Local Users and Groups and
nowhere is the name "Be" shown. Not unexpectedly, I find quite a few
entries in the registry referring to the path containing "Be."

Since I can't find the user name I obviously can't delete it using
conventional means so I wonder if anyone has a fix for this kind of problem.

Thanks,
Cec Britton

Hi,

This machine works in home, company?
if company, is joined to the domain ?
if yes, is in domain that user ? (Control Panel/Administrative
Tools/Computer Mgmt./Local Users and Groups -> doesn't display domain
users - because they are not local :D)
is he/she logged in into your machine (if yes - this is the answer - if
someone logg in first time, Windows creates new settings for new user on
local machine) ?

I apologize for my oversight, I am in a small workgroup and am not
connected to a domain server.

As I said before, the only system reference to the ficticious user is found
in the registry.
