Dear All,
Hello

When I’m online, after some seconds (5 to 75 seconds) internet icon on the
tray shows that there is information transfer although I’m not browsing the
web nor doing any activity which does need internet information transfer. My
updated antivirus shows no sign of a network attack and my windows and
antivirus updates are off. This problem had happened before sometimes, but
every time when I restored my windows to a previous date (using system
restore) it was resolved. But unfortunately this time I don’t have any
checkpoints on my system restore. I have to admit that I use Emule software
and every time that I had this problem it seemed to happen after I had used
of Emule (but not all the times I used Emule, just about 1 in 20).

Am I being hacked? What should I do? Is there a way to find out what
component in my computer is using internet? Please help me, I am so anxious
about that.

Thank you for your helps

The most simple way.... run "netstat -ab" at the command prompt...tells
you source, destination(host and port) and executable that is being
called or calling...Alternately put a firewall endpoint application on
your PC and set it to ask you what to do every time something tries to
talk to your PC or your PC tries to talk to something (but this is
annoying and most of the firewall applications out there will slow
things down).

Zone Alarm, when it's first in stalled, or, you clear it out, will block-all
and ask for permission for every in/out. then you can allow/deny or allow
or deny always and quit asking. Pretty handy troubleshooter sometimes.
Won't show WHAT, but will show WHO.
