Unknown Error - while playback

To manage a large file, I split into two parts and imported each of them. While importing the first part, the importing could not be complete. I happened to go though some of these help topics and got a solution for importing by turning off the option "Create clips for video files". I did that and the importing went fine. I have now a huge lump of one file sitting on WM. While playing the same, it is playing until a particular point and then stopping from there on

It is a Windows Media Audio/Video file about 550 MB. The total length of the clip imported is showing as around 29 minutes but while playback it is playing around 11 minutes
