Unknown application running

I have an application that pops up in the taskbar at a regular interval every
five to seven minutes or so. It is labled only with a white box and does not
include any accompanying text that identifies what it is.

When the program appears in the taskbar, it disrupts anything running in
full screen mode. Any ideas about how to determine what this is and get rid
of it?
 
I am getting the same thing and I have run Adaware and spybot and I have AVG
anti virus and all say everything is ok.

I don't think so. I found a couple viruses, which I removed with McAfee
virusscan, and I scanned for and removed all of the spyware found using Ad
Aware and Spybot. But I'm still having the same problem.
 
try AVG anti spyware, from www.ewido.com

I tried that spyware software, and while it found some tracking cookies, it
didn't find what was causing this problem
