Unknown Account On Vista Welcome Screen - Can't Delete!!?

I have an account on my vista home basic welcome screen which is
labelled 'other user', this account is not listed in user accounts in
control panel. Anyone got any ideas how to get rid of it?

It is not possible to log into the account in question as it asks for
username & password.

There is also no sub folder in c:\users for 'other user'.

Open the Run command (Windows Key + R) type in control userpasswords2

If the account is listed there, you should have the option of deleting it
from there.

The account is not listed in 'control userpasswords2, when I try to
access advanced user managment I get a message saying that this snapin
is not available in vista home basic.

Are you connected to a Domain? If so, the Other Account option will most
likely show up on the Welcome Screen.

I am not connected to a domain, yes the account shows up on the
welcome screen, but NOT in control panel > user accounts or control
userpasswords2.

It's annoying me that it is on the welcome screen but I can't get rid
of it!!
