Uninstalling Roxio CD Creator 5

I had problems with my computer and took it back to the
place of purchase and purchased Windows XP Professional.
They reformatted my hard drive and installed XP Pro. At
that time they installed ROXIO 5.

Subsequently the system crashed again. This time they re-
installed XP Pro but did not reinstall all of the other
programs. When I try to run ROXIO 5 I get a message
saying the software is not installed. I can see the
files on my C drive but do not have the disks to
reinstall. I have ROXIO 6 but when I tried to install it
I got an error message saying that ROXIO 5 must be
uninstalled. When ROXIO 6 tried to uninstall ROXIO 5 I
got an error message saying that ROXIO 5 was not
installed.

What should I do to "uninstall" ROXIO 5?

Roxio EZ CD Creator is one of those programs that need to be uninstalled
from the computer normally using the install disk. I can be erased from the
registry without the setup program but it is a time consuming and dangerous
job. It will not uninstall from the Control Panel/Add/Remove programs if
there is anything wrong with the setup (and apparently there is.) If you
are friends with (and after two trips to them you should be) the sales
people, take the computer back to them and have them install and then remove
Roxio 5. Apparently they should not have installed it in the first place
since you didn't say you had the disk for version 5.

I have had EZ CD Creator on one computer since version 3 and each version
has had to be removed before another version could be installed.
