Uninstalling Kazaa

My daughter installed the illegal download music program
Kazaa. I cannot uninstall this. Tried Add/Remove and I
get a message saying the Installshield set up launcher
has encountered a problem and must close. I tried to
manually uninstall through the regedt32 (registry?) and I
get stuck. Can anyone help me?

As with many things, it depends on the usage. Kazaa itself is not an
illegal application here in America (it's been deemed illegal somewhere
overseas ... Sweden or something) - if this were the case, it would not be
freely available for download, as the website would most likely be shut
down. It is what people do with Kazaa that can be deemed illegal -
downloading music, full-length movies, etc.

A video camera is just a video camera; bringing it into a movie theatre and
recording a flick is illegal, but that doesn't mean owning the camera is
illegal.

its up to the users to share legal material.
Some companies are starting to use P2P networks for promoting their software
in order to lower the bandwidth use for their downloads.
I just commented because I suspect that the daughter got a scolding about
installing kazaa.
I think that is stupid.

Its not illegal.
