Uninstalled Outlook 2007, now 2003 Install problem

G

Go Bucks!

HP laptop came with trial of Office 2007 installed. This is a company
laptop, we have a license for Office 2003, so I uninstalled 2007 and
installed 2003.

Outlook seems to be the only problem. I can't even Open Outlook at
this point. It wants me to go through the new user deal, but says no
file and I have to go to Control Panel, Mail, Outlook Data Files, then
I "Add" but on the "New Outlook Data File" screen I can Cancel, that's
all. Under "Types of storage:" it's just blank.

I've had this for a few months and have checked into this a few times,
tried a few different things and give up. Any help appreciated.

Of course I should be able to call MicroSoft and have them tell me for
free how to fix THEIR problem! ;-(

Thanks in advance!

So why didn't you? Note that it is not THEIR problem; it is YOU who has an
issue with THEIR software. That is something completely different. You not
being able to read your mail affects your daily operations and not theirs.

Anyway, since you did a downgrade you should recreate your mail profile.
