How does one doe this? Is it possible? Why, when installing windows live
mail, doesn't windows live mail auto-uninstall the original windows mail?
Any ideas or pointers toward a solution would be appreciated

Windows Mail is part of the Vista OS and can't be uninstalled.
Just let it be dormant. It won't hurt anything.

Just like OE in WinXP and earlier, you cannot uninstall Windows Mail...but
you can remove access to the program.

That's not true, it uses resources by default and for that alone
uninstallation is a must.

Err if you don't launch it, how CAN it use resources? Windows Mail doesn't
start up automatically unless you tell it to...
