Bob

I am using Windows Messenger and Win XP Home Edition.

Messenger seems to have become corrupt. I read previous
posts that others are having similar problems, but, no
resolutions were posted. Messenger now displays in green
and black and some of the functions are not working.

Can Windows Messenger be uninstalled and then
reinstalled ? Will I lose all my contacts ?

Open WM and click on File, then click on Save Contacts List. Then you
should be able to uninstall/reinstall.

use your xp disk and reinstall messenger, it should
overwrite any issues you are having with the program.
Unfortunately there does not seem to be a way to
uninstall messenger at this time.
