Uninstall problem

I installed WinFax Pro and when I came to the part where I was to complete my
info, all I complete was my name. When I went to the second box, it closed up
the program.

So now I'm trying to uninstall WFP and I ca'n't. I went to Add/Remove
programs and tried to uninstall but I got a message that some uninstall log
was missing and the uninstall process would end.

I used Add Remove Platinum and now WFP is not showing as installed. Also the
registry dosen't show the program. The problem is now I'm trying to delete
the files from my computer (somehow Add Remove was not able to do this). I
was able to delete everything except some .dll files, namely: PSAPI.dll,
WFXSEH32.dll & WSXSWTCH.dll.

Does anyone know how I can delete these? I've even tried renaming them and
it doesn't help.

Thanks,

Sunny

Hi, Sunny. Try doing a System Restore to a date before you installed
WinFax. Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

Try deleting the files from the Safe Mode.

Thanks to you both for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I've tried doing a
system restore and as I've been having problems with that program and I
follwed directions I found here, I can't restore to a time when I didn't have
this problem..

I've also tried deleting the files from Safe Mode............no luck. -:(

Sincerely,

Sunny

Thanks to you both for your suggestions. Unfortunately, as I'd been having
problems with doing a system restore & I followed some suggestions I found
here, I can't do a restore to a time when program worked correctly.

I've also tried deleting the files from safe mode and no luck. :-(

Sincerely,

Sunny

Sure - you just had to go through torture first. ;-) Glad you got it
sorted out and thanks for taking the time to let us know.
