Uninstall Outlook 2003

I.ve just about given up trying to resolve my problem In a nutshell I can't
open Outlook 2003. I've tried so many fixes(new profiles etc) each time I get
different messages ,but the bottom line remains I can't open. I do have a
back-up .pst I have even tried reinstalling, but to no avail.

How do I do a complete uninstall and than reinstall?

I would love to use the program.

Thanks to any who answer

Uninstalling OL rarely cures a problem
What *exactly* are the err.msgs when you open OL?

For Example" Unable to open "information store cannot be openned"

I do not believe you if you claim that is the exact text of the error. Do
not paraphrase the message. Enter it EXACTLY and state exactly what you are
doing when the message occurs.

Brian,

The exact wording is the following" Unable to open your default e-mail
folders. The information store could not be opened"

Assuming OL2003 has never run successfully;
Try the mail applet in the control panel, create a new profile, dont copy
old, add a new data file & the accounts.
Test the accounts, then try opening OL

DL,

I did what you just suggested, and I got the same message when trying to
open Outlook. "Unable to open your default e-mail folders, The information
store could not be opened."

This is why I initially asked about doing a total uninstall of Outlook or
Office 2003, I have all my information on my desktop computer. The computer
that I'm having the problem with is my new HP laptop using Vista.

I had this partially working when I installed Office for the first time, I
was able to copy over data from my laptop and was able to use phone book.
Right now I'm very frustrated with the process. Do you have any other
suggestions?

Thanks

Where is the PST you're trying to open in the mail profile? Do you have
full permission to it? What type of account do you have configured in the
mail profile?

Presumably you ran a detect/repair of office via the cd?
Tried opening OL using the safe switch?
