uninstall Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 update 1

Hello Friends,

Actually when I was trying open Business Objects Enterprise Java
Infoview in my local machine(laptop). I encountered with the follwing
problem, and unable to open Infoview.

For that when I did some work- around, i got to know that I should
uninstall
java Version 1.6 from my machine and have to install older versions
1.5 ...
because BO has some problems with Java 1.6 version.

OK. now my question is, in the above regard, i was trying to uninstall
java 1.6, via control panel and then to add/remove programs. Usually
when we try to remove any program, it
will give an option like, CHANGE and REMOVE, but here I am not given
that REMOVE option. So how should i remove that ...

Hope you got i meant to say....

Any kind of help would be appreciated ..

Have you tried using Java SE 1.6.0 U3 to see if the problem has been
fixed?

Yes, I did tried using Java SE 1.6.0 U3 but it could'nt fix the

Might be I need to go with the older versions.

You already tried to remove Java 6 U1 from Control Panel > Add/Remove
Programs?

The other question is whether Infoview is fully patched with updates
and hotfixes? http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/default.asp

If Ad/Remove is not working, you could always try and use the
Uninstall feature of CCleaner. Sometimes it can bypass the Windows
Uninstaller and remove something stubborn.

In order to solve your uninstallation issue, reinstall the current version .
If you did not save a standalone installer, please go to this webpage :
http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/6u1/index.html . Reinstall and
then you should be able to uninstall using Add/Remove Programs.
 
Top
