When I installed Vista, it recognized my network adapter and network
without any problems. But a few days back, I tried installing Nortel
VPN client (meant for XP) and had no luck making it work on Vista. So
I tried to uninstall it but had errors uninstalling it. I then
decided to delete all the files and rollback my machine using system
restore.
Everything went fine except the network icon in the tray shows my
usual network and an "Unidentified Network" with "Limited
Connectivity". This was not the case before the Nortel install. I do
not know what is causing this but my searches have not been useful
(maybe the wrong keywords).
Everything still works but (minor niggle) it doesn't let me connect to
a(nother) VPN using the right click as it used to. Now I have to go
into Network Connections and start the VPN from there. That, and it
bugs me to see multiple networks, limited connectivity etc.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
