I'm looking for information on writing a program for Asia starting with
Japan. My understanding is that the CRL is already Unicode (like strings,
etc)... lucky for me!! how do I get my app to use/display other languages?
Any tips or "gotcha"s to be aware of?

Yes, all strings are by default encoded as Unicode in the .NET Framework.
In order for a specific language to display on a user's machine, the user
must have the necessary Unicode fonts already installed.
