Uneven text in group footer of two column subreport

I have a subreport with the page set up set to two columns. There is a DDate
footer in the subreport and the GroupOn in the sorting and grouping box is
set to group on a week.
The problem is, if one side of the column has more days than the left column
then the sum in the group footer shows up higher in the second column than in
the first column. How can I make the sum for both columns show up evenly on
the page?

I noticed no one responded to my plea for help. Is it because the
information doesn't make any sense or that more information is needed. Let
me explain a little more. There is a main report with a subreport in the
main report. The subreport's page set up is set to two columns and has a
DDate Header and a DDate Footer, and the Detail section. In the DDate Header
I am sorting and grouping with DDate and have the GroupOn set to group on a

Everything is great except the Sum Hours(46). Since there are 6 entries
that show up in the 1st column the Sum Hours(46) is showing up on the 8th
line but because there are on 5 entries that show up on the right the Sum
Hours(46) is showing up on the 7th line. Is there anyway to get the sums to
show up on the same line?

Actually, it was clear enough the first time. I don't know
of a way to do that so I didn't answer, but I was watching
to see if anyone came up with something clever.

When you come right down to it, I don't think it's possible.
Since there is an arbitrary number of records in either
column, it's conceivable that the either column's records
will exceed the available space and spill over into the
second column or onto the next page, which tosses your
desired outcome in the trash.

The fact that you are using a subreport with Down then
Across columns is itself a very limiting constraint on what
you can display. Because the subreport control's CanGrow
property must then be set to No, there is the possiblility
that some records will just fail to appear in the report.

I think the closest you can come to what you are asking for
here is to use another subreport to display the totals.
Place it below the problematic subreport on the main report.
Base this summary report on a Totals query that is itself
based on the same query that you used for the other
subreport.
