Underlining hyperlinks

C

Chris Watts

When I create a hyperlink from text it is given the accent and hyperlink
colour - no problem there. But it also underlines the text - and I do not
want that. Is there a way that I can stop this?
TIA

Thanks, that works but I need to be careful, when running the presentation,
as the text is in the middle of a custom animation and to work the
transparent box needs to be in place before the text appears. I could, of
course, split up the text but that is a bit of a additional pain!

You can also animate both the text and the transparent box together. You can
also group them together first, then apply hyperlink to the transparent box
only. Hope it helps.

Doesn't do what I need.
The text is appearing line-by-line on each mouse click. I want the
trnasparent box, and hence hyperlink, to appear with line 5 and later but
not before as there is a rsik of it being clicked on too early.

In that case, if you are using PowerPoint 2002/XP and above,
Add an appear effect on the transparent box.
Set the "Start: " to With Previous.
Then, move it under the effect added onto Line 5.
By doing so, the transparent box will appear only when Line 5 appears.
Feel free to email me at pptheaven[at]gmail[dot]com if you need a sample on
this.

As Tohlz says but note you will need to click the "expand" button to see the
text animation on separate lines. Its the double down arrow below and left.

Did that solve your problem?
