Underline spacing

Is there anyway to increase the space between the underline and the word? The
underline is so close to the bottom of the words or the email addresses that
I can't see underscores or tell I's from T's.

And BTW, thank you to all of you who post help to the rest of us!
 
Unfortunately, no. The underline is defined as part of the font. You might
try changing to a different font to see if that helps.
