undeleting files from emptied recycle bin that were originally located in DESKTOP

My dad have deleted all of my mom's important files on desktop, and
emptied the recycle bin. I came across major data recovery softwares
that undeletes programs, even if they have been emptied from the
recycle bin.

However, none of them retrieves files that were originally located in
DESKTOP.

Please help me. My mother just started teaching in college, and she
needs those files to teach her second semester.

The desktop is just another folder.
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop...
Look for the deleted files in that area with the recovery application of
your choice.
