Undeletable e-mail

I am having a problem with a few select users having messages that are
undeletable. When I say undeletable, I've tried the conventional methods of
deleting the messages which do not work (I recieve an access denied error) .
I've also tried to use the Mdbvu32.exe utility to try and remove the message
but the corrupt message remain after issuing the delete command. all attepts
so far have failed.

We are using MS Exchange server 2000 standard for our mail server. I really
need a way to rid ourselves of these corrupted messages and free up some
space in the mail store.

KOrland - thanks for the quick response.

Unfortunately, The corrupted e-mail is on the exchange server itself, also I
am unable to modify the message in anyway without getting that access denied
message which ends up rejecting the changes. I'm starting to lean toward the
conclusion that the part of the mail database that this message resides on
has been corrupted. Speaking of which anyone know how to surgicaly remove
corruption from the mail store.
