Hi,

I have seen many system files in Windows\System32 in NTFS compressed
form. There are so many of them, which I suspect leading to performance
degration problem.

I tried to run the Compact command, but those file currently in use
cannot be uncompressed. I tried recovery console but there is no
Compact command in it.

Any help?

Thanks.

Leave them be. You save space and there is little to no overhead in the compression
algorithm.
