unclear laptop display

Hi,
I am running Windows XP Home edition on my hi-grade
Ultinote 6600 [has Nvidia Geforce4 64Mb graphics card].
A few days ago, I connected it to a projector to show
something to a class. Eversince then the display on my
laptop has been unclear/fuzzy. Every second line of text
seems to be unclear with shadowing. Changing the display
settings on XP hasn't done anything.
If anyone knows the answer, please let me know as I'm at
my wits' end.

Are you sure that you use the correct resolution? Usually projectors
have a lower resolution then the TFT monitor in your laptop. I think
the Utinote 6600 has a SXGA (1280x1024) resolution screen.
