Newport

Just got an email that say's that Uncle Grumpy and Kevpan815, (the apparently
retarded advocate of Ubuntu on vista.general) are one and the same person!
It says he does it to provoke discussion, misguided in my view given the
enormous amount of nonsensical posts he puts into the vista group.
Well, well, well !!
We live and learn.
Silly old sod.

Odd... a search of Google Groups shows that this is the ONLY post made
by "Newport" - EVER.

Methinks someone from the UK - re: the use of the term "sod" - has a
sock puppet and doesn't want to use the moniker he's been regularly
using.

Is that so? Well who would have guessed that! I've always thought him a bit
odd, but not that odd! Rude and nasty yes, but I never thought he'd rant like
that just to gain attention.
As you rightly say, we live and learn,
Karl.

What you say may be true. Perhaps it is someone getting at you, but your
horrible remarks to people will inevitably invoke reactions like this.
I've seen you say lots of times that you don't care what others think of
you. If you really don’t care then why are you doing Google searches or even
bothering to reply at all?
I was always told child “If you can’t say something nice, say nothingâ€
Advice that you should maybe consider. The example you set to youngsters is
not good.
You go for peoples throats for no reason that I can see, so don’t be
surprised if people go back at you.

I don't know whether they are the same person or not, and I don't
care.

What I do know is that I have a limited amount of time to spend here
in the newsgroups, and if I can put someone who trolls, rather than
contributes, in my killfile, it shortens the time it takes to read the
messages. I probably have several examples in my killfile of multiple
posting names being the same person, but I doesn't matter. It's easy
to recognize the trolls, and regardless of how many names they post
under, they make it to my killfile quickly.

Oooh, you got an e-mail. Yup, if you got an e-mail then it must be the
absolute truth, uh huh. Do you get a lot of these types of e-mails?
So, have you yet installed that .exe update attached to an e-mail
purportedly sent from Microsoft? Sure, go ahead, do it. <evil-laugh>

When you think you reading another such e-mail, look down to see if you
can see your feet. If you can't see your feet then you are dreaming.

However, that means you would have to wean yourself from the webnews-
for-dummies gateway to Usenet that Microsoft uses to pretend that they
have forums.
Silly old sod.

A denigrating self-portrait?

Which ones match and which ones don't? One is nymshifter, the other is
not. See http://www.usenet-bully-faq.org/filter.htm (nym is short for
pseudonym).

How odd... "Karl" and "Newport" are posting from the same server using
the same newsreader (and version):

X-Newsreader: Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000
Content-Class: urn:content-classes:message
Importance: normal
Priority: normal
X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.3790.2992
Newsgroups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
NNTP-Posting-Host: tk2msftibfm01.phx.gbl 10.40.244.149

While "Newport" only has one message on Usenet so far (bashing me),
Karl is now up to six... all of them directed at me.

Mystery solved.

All the users of the webnews-for-dummies gateway to Usenet look the
same. Microsoft lies in the NNTP-Posting-Header by showing an IP
address to one of their own hosts, not for the poster. They used to
show the poster's IP address in the X-WBNR-Post-Host header but then
changed that to point at a Microsoft host. Microsoft chose to operate
an anonymizing NNTP service. You could subpoena Microsoft to get more
information.

So, based on your logic, everyone that uses the Microsoft's webnews-
for-dummies interface is a member of a coalesced community unified in a
common goal to bash you.

Persecution complex: A variety of psychological behaviours instilled by
the perception of being persecuted for various and often numerable
reasons whether imagined or real.

Well, you really aren't paranoid if everyone is really out to get you.
Yes ... yes ... yes, ... we ... we ... we ... are ... are ... are ...
out ...out ...out ... to ...to ...to ... get ...get ...get ... you ...
you ... you.
