sent mail to unknown domain without any notification. This is the story: One
of my mail address is from "GMAIL" thanks to its power full spam filter and
outlook junk mail I have no spam in my "IN BOX" folder. But spam report
about their status from my computer, I find this when I check "sent mail"
folder form "gmail" account. There are many sent mail in the following
forms:

To:
(e-mail address removed) (or other e-mail)
Subject:
Not read: Best improvement advice from Canadian Sites. (or other subject but
all begins with "Not read:")
Body:
Your message

To: "My mail address"
Subject: Best improvement advice from Canadian Sites.
Sent: 9/25/2008 4:19 AM

was deleted without being read on 10/26/2008 9:21 AM.

What should I do, how can I prevent them.
I'll appreciate for any help
My system configuration are:

Are you using Outlook 2007 to access your GMail account ?

The other possibility is that your GMail accout password has been comprmised.

Are these messages in your INBOX or your SENT items folder?

Those are Read receipts. Are you accessing it as an IMAP account?
See http://www.slipstick.com/emo/2008/up081023.htm#4 - moving or deleting
items will trigger the warning, if you have outlook set to warn, but
emptying the junk mail folder doesn't appear to honor the setting. Marking
items read first will.

Hi Dave
My appreciate for your reply
Yes, I use outlook 2007 for gmail and I should tell you it's not about
"password has been compromised" by little search in web I find similar
problem form other users. It's about kind of BUG or security want in
IMAP/Outlook that does send read receipt without owner permission.
Unfortunately I don't find any solution yet.

At this time the only solution is to mark the items read before deleting
them. It is a bug and Microsoft is aware of it and working on a fix.
