Unable to use my Network places to browse windows 2003 server

I have a windows 2000 DC, I am having problem browsing one of the windows
2003 member server

The strange thing is that I am able to see my windows 2003 server using
\\computername at the Start ->Run

I tried adding host file to map the windows 2003 server IP, disable the OS
built in firewall on both end , but still no luck

Any one can help ?

Do you have any shares set up on the server? Check security settings for
shares? The hosts file is for domain name resolution. Does not help here.
But ip resolution is not the problem any way because you can see it from
"\\computername at the Start ->Run".
