unable to unload archive file

I have an archive file present in my Mail Folders View.
When I attempted to unload it I get a dialog box with the following error:

"The operation failed, An object could not be found"

I've run the relevant file through the pst utility, and although it did find
some minor errors, even after I restarted outlook with the repaired file, its
still could not unload it.

I even closed outlook and renamed the archive file, restarted outlook, and
although it correctly would not let me view the objects within the file, it
still would not unload it. I was expecting it to not be able to load it and
therefore remove the link, but it could not do this either.

I've also run the outlook repair to no avail. I'm still able to view all
the items within the archive, so it other than not being to unload it, it
seems to be working. I'm leaning towards a problem with Outlook itself
rather than the archive.

Can you remove it thru Tools | Options | Mail Setup | Data Files...?
