Unable to uninstall McAfee Message Error

When I trie to uninstall (through Add/Remove Programis in the control panel)
McAfee Desktop Firewall I receive a Message "Warning - To secure
communication between various components on your computer, we require certain
Microsoft Windows authentication software services which are not installed".
It will not allow me to uninstall the program. I have tried unistall through
McAfee uninstall and I get the same message.
