Every time I try to shut down my computer (XP) it immediately goes into
reboot mode rather than close down. As it finishes rebooting, a window opens
with the message "System recovered from serious error". The error signature
is:
BCCode : 7f BCP1 : 0000000D BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 1_0 Product : 768_1
The only way I can properly shut down is to open in safe mode and then close
down.
I run Norton System Works 2003 and their latest anti-virus check does not
detect any viruses. Also the NU 'system check' does not identify any errors.
I would be grateful for any advice on how to overcome this problem.
Thanks
