Unable to sent redlined word document by email.

I communicate with an attorney concerning contracts. We have been able to
sent redlined word document as attachments back and forth up until recently.
The last few emails have disappeared with out a trace. Correct email
address but not recieved. I am using Outlook 2003 SP1. with a Microsoft
exchange server. The same document without the redlining comes through fine.
I can also sent the redlined document to my AOL account as an attachment
and open it up, but not with outlook.
Is there something about redlining in word and Outlook 2003?

Do you have a metadata removal feature attached to your exchange server?
This may either block documents with tracked changes or deliver the document
in final form.
