unable to Send one specific message

I took an e-mail from six months ago addressed to 'Mr Smith', deleted the
content, wrote a new message and attempted to send it to him. It stayed in
the Outbox, I rec'd no error messages, and it never got mailed.
(Incidentally I sent myself a Test message to check the mail server, no
problem.)

I went back to the unsent message to 'Mr. Smith', copied and pasted all that
information into a newly created e-mail and I had no problems mailing that
one. I 'solved' my problem but I do not understand what is going on.

Any ideas on this behavior from Outlook 2007 (under Vista Home Premum)?
Thanks, DH

Is there a date associated with the item in the Outbox? In what font is the
subject line in?

Brian, I've already deleted the message that could not be sent but the
original message still exists. The date and time from that message is Tue
7/17/2007 2:18 PM.

The font in the subject - well, the type of message is HTML, and according
to a sub menu in my current set up, it is +menu (which says nothing to me).
Is this of any help?
Thanks, DH

Sorry, 'bout that previous message - I meant to write +body as the font.
Sorry.

Typically where there is a problem with sending, a message's subject line
will not appear normal when viewed in the Outbox. The date will be missing
or the subject line will not be in italics. That's why I was asking. The
state of the original message has no bearing on the issue, nor does the font
in which you composed the message. I was asking what the suibject line
looks like when viewing the Outbox. Since you deleted the message, there's
no way to discover what was wrong.
