Hi Folks,
When using Outlook I can receive and send e-mails using my broadband,
however when using other wireless networks or mobile broadband modem, I can
receive mails but cannot send e-mails.
When trying to send e-mails I receive the error message "Your outgoing
(SMTP) e-mail server has reported and internal error"
I am using Outlook 2007 with Vista premium.
Appreciate any help anyone can give me to help resolve this.
Thanks in Anticipation!
Jim

how are you authenticating to the SMTP server? many ISPs either don't allow
access to the SMTP while off their network or require authentication before
you can send. A few require you to use a different port and authentication.

In the Outgoing Server section of my E-mail settings the "My outgoing server
(SMTP) requires authentication" is unchecked.
When I check this box I cannot send mails via my broadband

Thanks

Then you'll need to call your email provider and ask what settings you need
to use - or change the settings when off the network and set them back when
on. (Or make a second profile for off the network.)

Thanks Dianne, called my e-mail provider as suggested, and got the correct
smtp settings which has resolved the problem.
