unable to save word 2003 on mapped drive

i have read MS knowledge base on the above but find it does not apply to me.
does anyone know how to resolve this problem? when i try to save word 2003
to a mapped drive this message appears "unable to save file due to low memory
or hard disk is full". the hard disk is not full and neither is memory low.

I am currently experiencing the same problem when backing up files to my
server when using a login that is specified as a poweruser. When backing up
using a name adminstrator rights, I have no such problem. I am currently
using SBS 2003, in a Raid 1 set with a second partition ( this is where the
backup is being sent to). I have 197Gb free and am recieving this error
constantly with powerusers.

Is there any solution to this or settings that would need to be modified to
correct this
