unable to run win2000 after Klex virus cleanup

hello, we have some mess here. my friend's pc had 600
files infected with Klez. we ran eanthology to clean it
up. but it seems to have corrupted win 2000 operating
system. we tried to reinstall win2000 but after doing so,
the computer goes into an endless loop where it keeps
opening restart and never boots up. we can only boot from
the A: drive in dos. HELP! please, thank you.
