Dear All,
I am trying to run System Restore, but all I get is a "blank" system Restore
window.
I am logged-in as Administrator.
Can anyone help please?
Barry

Barry,

Type these commands from Start, Run:

regsvr32 jscript
regsvr32 vbscript
regsvr32 /i mshtml

Logoff, and log back in. If that does not help, apply the .VBS fix available
in this page:

Dear Ramesh,
Many thanks, that worked, although I could only go back to the 7th December,
would not give me any earlier dates.

Dear Ramesh and all
Although we seemed to have solved this problem, it is back!

System Restore is switched off when I turn on the PC and then of course I
only get that day showing in system restore.

I also cannot run Netmeeting, it just opens and then drops out of sight!
Any help appreciated please.

Hi,

Please post the entire description of the problem.

Dear Ramesh
I tried to do a system restore yesterday and it told me system restore was
turned off.
I turned it back on and ran the following as suggested in your earlier post:
regsvr32 jscript
regsvr32 vbscript
regsvr32 /i mshtml

I rebooted and guess what, system restore was turned off. I have just
switched on this morning and checked if System Restore was still monitoring,
but no, it was turned off.

I have two other problems, NetMeeting will not run- it opens the NetMeeting
front screen and disappears, it does not go into the Taskbar. CuteFTP opens
and then minimises to the taskbar, which never happen previously.

I have run Adaware and Spybot, Anti Virus scan etc.

Hope this helps
Regards
Barry
