Unable to rotate graphics in PowerPoint 2000

Susan Lambert

I am using Windows Office 2000 with SP1. My op system is Windows XP SP2. I
am working on a big presentation now and found one of my pictures I had
imported was turned the wrong way. When I went to the format picture menu
to rotate it, the rotate window is grayed out. Thinking there might be an
installation issue, I reinstalled the program from scratch then reinstalled
the patches. It is still grayed out. I can't believe that Microsoft would
disable something as necessary as rotate. Does anyone have any ideas what
could be causing this?

My boss has Office 2002 and it works OK in his version.

Image rotation was added in PowerPoint 2002. The rotate function that you see
in PowerPoint 2000 can only be used on autoshapes.
