unable to reopen saved files message says corrupted

Every time a file is saved and closed, even one with no data, I am unable to
ropen the file. The error message states that the last time the file was
opened it created a serious error. The only time the files have been open is
when they were created.

Are you perhaps trying to save to a floppy disk rather than to your hard
drive?

Where are you saving the file, if to a network drive, then try to save to
your local C drive and see if you have the same problem, if not, then see
your MIS guy for it's probably a network/rights problem........

Further isolations, is it always from this machine, only from YOUR login,
others have same problem with their machines on the network, etc etc.......
