Try this command, it is used to renew the ip address
type this in ur Command Prompt window
ipconfig_release = to release the current ip address
ipconfig_renew = to renew the ip address
and also check that the dhcp server is enabled

and u should not click on repair, u have to perform these
commands to renew the ip address, clicking on repair will
only patch up if any file or any program/resource is
missing from the network configuratioin or the netowrk
resources.

My system appears to be unable to renew an IP address, so
I am unable to get on my network. When I run IPCONFIG it
always shows the same IP address which is not in the range
for my network. When I try to repair the connection, it
says the repair operation failed because it was unable to
renew the IP address. It seems as though the IP address
is stuck. What can I do?
