Unable to rename a Desktop folder

I can see the contents of the folder, but when I try to rename it, nothing
happens.

I should say that there were some viruses that were removed earlier

Without knowing what "some viruses" were and the true malware state of the
system:

1. Make sure the system is really clean. If you were as thorough as the
steps at the link below, fine. If you weren't, it would be a good idea to
do some more scanning.

2. What is the Desktop folder? One that you created? To what are you trying
to rename it? I ask in case you are trying to rename it using a restricted
word or symbol.
