Unable to remove unwanted program spam blocker utility browser wea

Just got this thing hooked up, my daughter downloaded MSN Messenger 7.5 and
got a bunch of adware/spyware including Spam Blocker Utility Browser Weather
and Wowpaper Tools. When I tried to uninstall, it says next then never goes
to anything. You have to choose to keep something - weather, browser,
toolbar to uninstall and then you can never get rid of the choice. On top of
that what it does let you "uninstall" it wont do it because there is a window
open, of course there is the uninstall programs window. When you click out
of that it all goes and you're back where you started. How do I get rid of
this garbage?!?

Yes, it is a pain to remove. I removed it twice and each time it
re-installed itself. I eventually removed most of it manually by first
going into Windows Explorer and deleting all the files I could in the
Program Files - Spam Blocker Utility folder there were two files I
couldn't delete because they were apparently in use by Windows). Then
I went to Run - Regedit, did a search for Spam Blocker Utility and
deleted all the Registry entries I could find (but be careful editing
the Registry)

P.S. There were two files I couldn't delete because they were
apparently "in use by Windows" all the time, presumably because Spam
Blocker Utility had set them to run whenever Windows started up. I
finally removed them by renaming the folder they were in,
"SpamBlockerUtility", to "SpamBlockerUtilityOld" and restarting the
computer. Then I was able to delete the folder and all its contents.
