unable to remove scanner software

My scanner is not working. It was working fine before then
something happened and it stopped working. Now whenever i
try to install the scanner software it always asks me "Do
you want to completely remove the scanner software". When
i press yes it shows me that it is removing the software
but it does not disappear from add remove programs in
control panel. And when i try to install it again it
always asks me that same question "Do you want to remove
the scanner software"

Simply! unable to uninstall scanner software

Now tell us what make/model scanner and the connection (USB
or parallel) and whether you are using an account with admin
rights?

i have only one computer and i am the administrator of it.
The scanner is of Plustek company. The scanner software is
already installed but scannet is not working and when i
try to remove it's software it show it is being removed
and asks me to reboot the computer, when i restart it is
still there in add remove program. I try to run the
scanner software from the scanner CD but it also asks me
the same question that "Do you want to remove the scanner
software" then i press yes, restart my computer but same
problem everytime.
