Unable to read web-mail contents

I have just installed SP2 and I access my work email from
home via Outlook webmail. When I log in I am unable to
see my list of emails (the "loading" box stays on screen
and the "Done" message displays in the status bar). I am
also unable to reply to Yahoo email messages. I can open
and read them but nothing happens when I click on reply.
I am also unable to compose a new message. Is there a
security setting that needs to be adjusted to allow me to
access email? Thank you.

Hi:

I am not sure about your problem but what I know is that SP 2 does come with
pop-up blocker which it will block out pop-up windows if the site has not
been set to allow it.

For example, if u are using Yahoo chatroom, it will need to set the pop-up
blocker to allow the chatroom window to come out or it will not.

Look carefully for any messages near the top of your browser, it may tell
you what's going on if it blocks anything.

Good luck.

The last two words above conflict. Either you pick up your mail via
Outlook (an email client) or via the web interface of your ISP? You need
to expand on this before anyone can help.

I access my ordinary "home" mail via my normal ISP and
Outlook 2003 program which works fine. I also need to
access my work email from my home PC (I am a casual tafe
teacher)and do this via Webmail, so the two are entirely
separate.

I am also unable to see all relevant information from our
usual Credit Union website. The Yahoo mail is also
acting strangely - I can open a message but am unable to
reply or compose a message.

I've logged on to my computer using another account and
everything is working fine, so I am thinking it is a
problem with my security settings (for my account). I
know that I had changed a few settings once the XP2 was
installed, but can't remember what. Perhaps that is
causing my problem? I have changed the security level to
medium but maybe there is something else that needs to be
altered.

Many thanks again. Sharon

I have changed my security settings from medium to low
and these missing items now seem to be ok and are showing
properly. I then changed the security back to medium and
it is still working fine. Fingers crossed it decides to
stay like that.

Thanks for replying and responding to my plea.

Hi

I checked the pop up blocker and it didn't seem to be
causing any conflicts (what a great invention though). I
have changed my security settings to "low" from "medium"
and everying seemed to "right" itself. I then changed it
back to "medium" and it still seems OK. Very strange,
but hopefully it stays that way.

Thanks for your help re the pop-up blocker. As you said
you do need pop-up windows every now and then.

I have a similar problem. I changed my security settings, yet I am still
unable use the "reply" or "forward" buttons.

Furthermore, my employer, a large county government, has announced that they
will no longer support e-mail difficulties that arise from having installed
SP2 on your home computer.

I hope someone can advise.

I have a similar problem using a "webmail" interface. Ever since installing
SP2, I can no longer use the "reply" or "forward" buttons.

I spent an our with your online chat support back in August, and they
finally told me they would get back to me. What they got back to me with was
to change my security and pop-up settings, which I had already done.

They closed my ticket, and the problem persists. Now my employer says they
won't support webmail issues on computers that have installed SP2.

Help!
