Unable to read file

I installed a wireless network and copied some Excel
files to a shared folder which I have since deleted the
files. I have over 100 Excel files and when I try to
open any of them, I receive the message "Unable to read
file". The files are not correupt since I am able to
copy them to a disk and then open them on another
computer. Also, Word is giving me the error
message "File not available" when I try to open any
documents. Has anyone run into this problem before??

I have a similar problem. Word cannot open any Word files
on my computer. Excel cannot open any Excel files on my
computer. PowerPoint cannot open any PowerPoint files
on my computer. I'm running XP, Office XP, Word 2002,
Excel 2002, PP 2002.

I did not install a network. The only things I can think
of are I installed a new network printer and I ran Windows
Update and got the requested updates. I looked at the
Knowledgebase and didn't see anything in there that was
helpful.

I know the files are not corrupt because I can copy them
to a floppy, then to another computer, and look at them.
