Unable to re-active some Application Agents

B

Baldrick

Hi there

Running v1.0.509 AntiSpyware Beta 1 and have noticed that
in a couple of cases once I have de-activated Appication
Agents I cannot get them to re-activate, ie, I highlight
them and then click the re-activate option, but they
remain showing as 'De-activated'.

The Application Agents in question are:

Process Execution
Script Blocking

The only way for the software to report them as 'Active'
is to uninstall/re-install.

Anyone else having this issue? Microsoft, would you
investigate this apparent minor blemish on what is
looking like a really good piece of security software?

Regards

Very interesting. I deactivated Script Blocking and it also would not
reenable. Went to Add/Remove Programs, MSAS, and clicked the Change
button, then chose the Update option. The installer ran successfully.
Reopened MSAS and Script Blocking was reenabled.

Were those the only 2 Application Agents you couldn't reenable,
Baldrick ? Did you test the Interenet and System Agents, also ?

This is a known issue with an active bug filed. Look for it to be fixed in a
future release.
