You might try doing a system restore to a point just before you ran the
cleaner.

Otherwise, see if you can re-install the mail application - are you printing
from IE?

Not an answer but something to think about after this is sorted.
Do you really really NEED to print out emails? Any email client is far
superior to any paper-based system in terms of both storage (can you put a
filing cabinet on a CD or copy it in seconds?) and of searching. Can you
search in a filing cabinet by document CONTENT for example?

IE Print script error

Try registering iepeers.dll and ole32.dll.

Start | Run | Type or paste:

regsvr32 iepeers.dll

Click OK.

You should get a message that the registration was successful.

Start | Run | Type or paste:

regsvr32 ole32.dll

Click OK.

You should get a message that the registration was successful.

If the above doesn't help, see these.

Registry cleaners are at best snake oil, and at worst very dangerous. You've
just provided yet another example of their dangers.

I strongly recommend *against* the routine use of registry cleaners. Routine
cleaning of the registry isn't needed and
is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and don't use a registry cleaner.
Despite what many people think, and what vendors of registry cleaning
software try to convince you of, having unused registry entries doesn't
really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit it may
have.

What to do in your siuation? Does your registry cleaner have an undo
function? If not, try resting to a restore point created just before you
used the registry cleaner.

I don't think the issue has anything to do with routine printing out of
anything like *all* E-mail messages. There are certainly many times when I
find it convenient to print a particular E-mail message. As a single
example, a friend might E-mail me driving directions to his house. I want to
print out the message and take it with me when I go.

I quite agree with you - however, drawing on my extensive experience of
being a Management and Systems Accountant, I have seen many many people
religiously print out every single email they receive, and file them in a
file!

Yep, people do all sorts of weird things. We agree that printing all E-mails
is hardly ever necessary. But the point I was making was that your original
message assumed that the OP was doing that, and there was nothing in his
message to suggest that.

{Pedant mode on} The op said "I can't print out MY emails", not "I can't
print out SOME emails"....
{Pedant mode off}... :-)

Well, if you really interpreted that to mean that he always prints all his
E-mail messages, I'm dumbfounded. I think that's a giant and completely
unwarranted leap.

Dear Ken,
Much as I value your experience and knowledge of windows, I see from your
MVP entry that you are a programmer. I fear that you have therefore lead a
fairly sheltered life from exposure to Users of software and what they do
and do not do and imply and not imply in their requests for assistance! I
believe that my "take" on the Op was valid and did not need a giant and
unwarranted leap.
Keep the advice coming!

I was. I haven't written a line of code in over twenty years.

Nope, you have it backward. In recent years, I've been *far* closer to users
and users and user problems than I have to any kind of coding. And even in
my coding days, I worked very closely with users, customizing the code I
wrote to meet their needs and address their problems.

I believe that my "take" on the Op was
valid and did not need a giant and unwarranted leap.

Then we disagree, and there's nothing left to argue about. If the OP comes
back to the thread, he may tell us which of was right. If not, neither of
will ever know for sure, but each of us will continue to be convinced he's
right.

Keep the advice coming!

Thanks again.

Ken

Have just finished reading johng's request for help in the non-printing of
emails. As from yesterday I have the same problem and wonder if the situation
was ever resolved. I don't need a learned treatise questioning the need to
print emails, just a simple answer if one exists. I have had no registry
cleansing and my only departure from the normal was to install Nero 6 the day
before I discovered the fault.
Any advice would be welcome.
