Unable to paste from the Clipboard

Hi
I'm having trouble pasting from the Clipboard in Word 2003. Word is
allowing me to copy and cut multiple items from Word documents because
it shows each item on the task pane. However, nothing happens when I
click on an item or select Paste on the task pane. CTRL + V works. Any
help appreciated. Thanks, MC

During the last year there have been numerous reports of this problem,
and in EVERY case it's turned out to be a third-party software
interfering with pasting.

First, try starting Windows in Safe Mode. Any change?

If not, try starting Word in Safe Mode by holding CTRL. How about now?

Hi Cindy

Many thanks for your reply and help. The clipboard is now working fine
so I think you are right - it appears to be some macro and/or third
party software that, when run, is affecting the task pane. Now just
need to isolate what it is!
