unable to open some excel documents

I am have problems with not being able to open some of my
excel documents on a particular PC other People can open
it on there PC and I have tried repairing the office
install and check the settings within tools options but
none of this has made any difference. Any thoughts.
THe PC is running office 2000 under WInNT
 
Do you get any type of error message?
