Unable to open slideshow

Can anyone please tell me if Anvsoft DVD Photo Slideshow is compatible with
Microsoft Vista? It used to work fine with Windows XP, but when I try to
open it in Vista I receive the following Microsoft Windows message:

"DVD Photo Slideshow Professional 7.73 has stopped working"

The vendor swears the program is compatible with Vista. Changing the OS to
Windows XP in Properties doesn't help.

By "Vendor" I meant the "Publisher", Anvsoft. Although they've been very
responsive, they can't fix the problem. Sorry for the confusion in terms. >
