unable to open .doc in new Microsoft mail

I just started w/Microsoft Mail. New computer - new programs. Now I can not
open word .doc attachment in e-mails. I have Microsoft Works - is there an
easy fix?
 
I've got the same problem - would be great if someone could point me in the
right direction

Figured it out! Vista came with Works - had to install Word to new puter to
get .doc in e-mail to open. Now all is fine! Try this.

Try this.
At the TOP Tool Bar in Windows (Live) Mail - go to
Tools > Options > Security and check the setting there.

By default it is set for;
Restricted sites zone ( More secure)
and
"Do not allow attachments to save or open...

If you want open attachment - you have to uncheck
the restriction in both cases.
