i have a notebook running xp pro, service pack 2. starting recently when i
try to open a .doc file from an email in outlook i get prompted to open or
save the document. then when i do either one, i get this error:

Can't create file: "Filename" Right-click the folder you want to create the
file in, click properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for
the folder.

i am not aware of any changes i have made. i do keep everything up to date
w/ windows/office updates from microsoft.

if i have the sender re-save the file and sent it again it usually open up.
also all the .doc file i get from people always open up w/ markups set to
'on'. i also know all the people sending the files so they should be clean.
